Thank you for the world so sweet, (Hum hum) Thank you for the food we eat. (Yum yum) Thank you for the birds that sing, (A-ling-a-ling) Thank you God for everything. (Amen!) Still remember singing this mealtime prayer song while I was in kindergarten. And Faith is able to enjoy this song now. While we sing the words, she ends off with the sounds at the end of each sentence. We have been singing this song for our dinner time prayer these few days. :) p/s: The book "Thank you : a child's book of prayers" was borrowed from the National library. :) |

We were home the whole day today and mummy had to find activities to keep occupied... We did our usual flashcards and reading of books. We talked about our value of the month - Thankfulness. Faith is thankful that to have a kind waitress while we dined out for lunch yesterday. The attentive lady brought her a pair of children's plastic spoon and fork without mummy asking. She dropped the set and the lady brought her another immediately. God bless the kind auntie. :) We played some educational games, sticker books and art & craft. We also went for an evening walk to feed the hungry fishes and a short play at the playground before dinner. Faith trying to disturb Mama while Mama was trying to get some rest. How to rest with such a cute face beside you. And Faith really did kiss Mama a few times! :P We had men's and ladies' net rally at church this evening. Loved the catered Briyani. Yummy! Coincidentally we played the game "Hunter, Fire and Earthquake" where the Squirrel is being featured. But Faith must be confused with all the people running about. Lol! :P
Today, we read a story about a patient duckling and then we traced out shapes, cut out the shapes and wrote the bible verse for the unit. Mummy helped of course. Faith was a little impatient to get out the shapes of the duck and attempted to using her hands to tear, rather than using the scissors. Well, an opportunity to reinforce on Patience. We are going to give our creations to the Grandpas this time! Mummy did a literal translation of the verse to Chinese too. Also, check out our craft on the little duckling. Haiz, Faith was more interested to peel out what Mummy has stuck onto the Yellow paper plate. :P
